Spring-cleaning is upon us. Time to get our houses and used or wholesale vehicles looking shiny and new for summer. We have some spring-cleaning tips for your vehicle during Car Care Month.
Spring-cleaning tips for your vehicle during Car Care Month
Start with the interior. Chances are, the interior of your vehicle is going to be a bigger project than the exterior. We recommend starting with the hard part so that you do not lose motivation. Break the interior up into sizable tasks so you know where to start and where to go from there. Here is our fundamental list of things to clean:
- Throw away any garbage and unnecessary stuff first; this will make it easier to clean the surfaces underneath
- Vacuum the carpets and seating
- Wipe down all hard surfaces with the appropriate cleaner, including windows, door handles, the steering wheel, and the entire front console
At this point, your vehicle should already be feeling pretty clean, and you have only had to do three things so far. Make sure to wipe down the interior of your windshield well, this is often overlooked as you assume the dirt is all on the exterior.
Now you can move onto the exterior. You have gotten the hard part done. The exterior just needs a warm water bath. You can go to a car wash to get the job done. If you decide to do it yourself, make sure you use a microfiber cloth to avoid scratching your vehicle’s exterior paint. Also, do not skip on waxing your vehicle, which prevents damage as well. Finish off the look with new all-season tires to replace those winter tires. Comment below with any of your own spring-cleaning tips.
